PhD Management

The PhD Management is a research-focused doctoral degree program that aims to prepare doctoral candidates for successful careers in advanced management scholarship and thought leadership within and outside of academia. Our program places emphasis on cross-disciplinary research paradigms and methods that encompass new ways to approach and advance complex societal / organizational challenges.

Program Experience

In the PhD Management, candidates move from initial courses through comprehensive exams to thesis research, defence, and submission.听 It is designed to be completed within four years on a full-time basis or up to eight years on a part-time basis.

Applying for the PhD Management

2026 applications open October 1st.

贰濒颈驳颈产颈濒颈迟测:听Applicants typically hold a Master鈥檚, with a thesis, or its equivalent, from a recognized university with a minimum GPA of 3.0/4.3 (B average) on 30 credit hours from a master's degree, and 30 credit hours from the most recent bachelor's degree.

Step #1:

  • Complete the听听and pay the听application fee ($115.00).
  • Identify a potential supervisor from the听Faculty of Managementwho will support your application to the program. You will need to discuss your proposed research with them and ensure that they are willing to supervise your research.

Step #2:Prepare your听Research and Personal Statement.听The form can be downloaded听here听and听is divided into two sections.

  • The听first section听asks you to describe your potential research interests / intended area of focus, research capacity, and potential supervisor (s).
  • The听second section听relates to your personal interests, and why you want to do this program. In total your responses should not exceed three (3) pages. Please use professional fonts, e.g. Ariel, Calibri, Times New Roman, size 11.
  • Once you have completed your sections, please discuss this with your proposed supervisor (s) and have them sign the form, indicating that they have reviewed the document, and are willing to be your supervisor. You will also need to sign the form.
  • Upload the signed form with your other application documents. Your application will not be considered complete without this form.

Step #3:Submit your supporting documents (must be submitted through the ).

  • The names and email addresses of two academic referees. For more information about references please visit the听FGS website.听
  • Unofficial transcripts (Undergrad & Master鈥檚). If accepted, official transcripts must be sent directly to 最新杏吧原创 from these universities within 90 days using an e-transfer system (e.g听). You can also organise to have the universities send your official transcripts to 最新杏吧原创 as part of this application.   • Curriculum Vitae
  • Research and Personal Statement (upload under supplementary documents), signed by you and your proposed supervisor.
  • English proficiency documentation (as per听FGS regulations), if required

Notes:听Our admissions committee will start reviewing applications in January. Applications will also be considered for a limited number of internal funding opportunities as the files are reviewed.
